A number of Josh Minton Foundation officers made the trip to the Bass Pro Shop location on Cincinnati Mills Drive for a big check presentation on April 1st. We are very appreciative of their gracious support of the Foundation. The Foundation has been working hard to improve our overall experience for guided turkey hunts each year at the Minton Lodge. These funds will be used to provide a hunting blind that can be accessed from a boardwalk that will be helpful to our hunters that have been impacted physically by cancer or military service to have a better, more comfortable hunt with us.
Josh loved to hunt and fish, and Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s stores were among his favorite places on earth. That makes it even more satisfying that they have chosen to partner with us on this project. We’ve already started doing some prep work to get food plots in and to clear areas for the blind. We’ll continue to provide updates as the work progresses. The blind won’t be ready in time for this year but we are happy to report that we do have two guided turkey hunts on the books in the coming weeks.
