The 2nd Josh Minton Foundation Veterans Guided Turkey Hunt is in the books for 2023. While our hunters heard a ton of birds on Saturday none came close enough to land on the dinner table. Sunday a few were heard but the rains came bringing an early end to the day’s hunt. I think I can still safely say though that Codie Cullum & Craig Spieker had a good time with Foundation Board Members Bob Minton and Dave Varney playing hosts for the weekend. We had an excellent weekend of making new friends and lots of good food and laughs! Thanks to the Veterans Hunting and Fishing Network (VHFN) for lining up the hunters for us this year. Looking forward to continuing to work with them going forward to provide more opportunities for our Veterans to have a great weekend at the Minton Lodge.
Shout out also to Cindy Reynolds and her friends for the quilts that each or our therapeutic guests or hunters are given as a reminder of their time with us. Looking forward to more turkey hunts in 2024!
